How to care for your refinished surface
Do not touch or use the surface for 24 hours after completion.
Allow the coating time to fully set before any use.
Cleaning (First 30 Days):
Use a mild dish soap and a soft cloth to clean your bathtub. After 30 days, you can begin using Scrubbing Bubbles for regular cleaning.
Surface Dust:
Do not pick or scrape any dust with your fingers. Light surface dust will usually wear away within 90 days with normal use and cleaning.
Avoid Harsh Cleaners:
Do not use abrasive products such as bleach, Comet, Ajax, Soft Scrub, or SOS pads since they can scratch the surface.
Only clean with Scrubbing Bubbles or other gentle cleaners. Regular cleaning is very important to prevent soap scum buildup.
Fix Leaks Promptly:
Any dripping or leaking faucets should be repaired immediately. Constant water exposure can cause the finish to wear or fail over time.
No Rubber Bath Mats:
Do not use rubber mats, especially those with suction cups, as they can damage the coating.
Keep Items Off the Surface:
For the first 90 days, avoid placing soap, bottles, or any objects directly on the refinished surface.
Avoid Certain Products (First 90 Days):
Do not use bubble bath, bath beads, bath oils, or hair dye. Also, do not bathe pets or apply tape to the surface during this period. The coating takes about 90 days to fully cure, and using these products too soon could cause damage.
